Holiday Season Fundraisers

Winter is upon us.  People are smiling, feeling the cheer of the season.  The holidays will be here before you can blink!

This year, KittyCorner is blessed.  Not only do we have our own annual fundraisers going, but we are seeing our friends step up and start their own, naming us as the recipients.  We are deeply touched.

Coming up Saturday December 2nd, from 10 AM – 3 PM is our annual Pet & Family Holiday Photos.  It will be held at the Tractor Supply store at the corner of Routes 31 and 57 (3580 Rt 31 Clay).  Centrally located and easy to get to, for just $20 you’ll get a photo package that includes

  • One 8 x 10
  • Two 5 x 7s
  • Two wallets

Have Santa join you, your family and your pets for a special picture.  Questions?  Please contact our friend Susan @ 315-481-2939.

Liverpool Animal Health Center (8205 Oswego Rd, Liverpool) has a Giving Tree.  Take a tag from the tree, buy that gift for either KittyCorner or the Second Chance shelter in Jamesville.  Gifts are scheduled to be delivered on Christmas Eve.

Give all year long, every time you shop at Amazon!  Consider joining the Amazon Smile program, where you can donate 0.5% of every purchase to KittyCorner, or another of almost a million non-profit organizations.  After joining, please search for “Kitty Corner of CNY, Inc.” to select us.

What would winter be without our annual KittyCorner Raffle?  Every year we make tickets available for this popular event.  First prize is $350, second prize is $75.  Entry is only $1/ticket.  Unfortunately, we didn’t get our tickets printed in time this year!  But don’t worry – you can either send a check to our PO Box and we’ll enter you, or. . . we hope to have a version on-line very soon!

Last – but certainly not least – our friend Chris decided to put together a fundraiser for KittyCorner on Facebook!  If you, your family or friends use Facebook, please follow the link below and consider donating.  The goal is a very modest $200.  We appreciate any dollar amount!

Whew!  A long post, to be sure, but such a great one – a humbling one – to write.  It fills our hearts with warmth to think of all our friends who are helping to care for the kitties.  We appreciate all of you!

With purrs of the season,

Linda and Deb
