Best Friends Animal Society is sponsoring a new opportunity for shelters, rescues and all sorts of other Animal Centered Organizations. Just download the ResQwalk app on your phone. Then go for a walk. Or a bike ride, or just a stroll. The GPS on your phone keeps track of your miles, and they are credited to the organization of your choice. The more miles, the more money the organization receives, so the more supporters we have, the better. Go www.bestfriends.org/ResQwalk to download your app. It’s pretty easy to use. When you’re ready, just open the app on your phone.
- On the first screen, click “new walk.” In the space at the bottom of the first screen it says who you’re walking for. If you want to chose a different organization, click the arrow. Here you will have the option of selecting or searching for the shelter of your choice.
- When you have selected your cause, click “Start Walk.”
- When you are finished. Click the “finish” button You can also pause along the way, if you want to stop for something.
