A few weeks ago, one of our donors approached us. “We’d like to buy you something you need. What should it be?”
Food and litter are always needed, but we’ve had to turn away tiny kittens in the past because we couldn’t take care of them. We’ve wanted an incubator for a while now. We offered to pay for half the cost, but our dear donor said “No way!”
And it has literally been a lifesaver. Within days of receiving it – before we’d truly learned how to use it – a tiny orphan was presented to us. Folks, meet Andy!
Here you see Andy desperate to leave the incubator. Behind him is a stuffed “mommy” with a heartbeat, so that he gets some comfort, and feels like he hasn’t been abandoned. Between his age and the way vet schedules are backed up, it will be almost Thanksgiving before we can get him fixed.
We’re so glad we can now work with the smallest of abandoned kittens. Thank you to our donor. You have blessed us!
